As I mentioned yesterday, I got extremely lucky last week in NYC and ran into The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus while backstage at Huffington Post Live. I had no idea that he was going to be there and needless to say, I definitely did a bit of fangirling when I saw him. Luckily, I saw him through a glass door when I was in the hair and makeup prep room and he was outside talking to one of the anchors in the hallway. I totally freaked out hands-in-the-air-holy-ghost-coming-over-me style. I mean, can you imagine causally talking to a friend and then looking over and seeing Norman Reedus?!
After allowing myself to have a minute to comprehend that he was in the hallway, I gained my composure and walked over to meet him. I casually opened the door, walked over and said hi (inside I was screaming I LOVE YOU! IF DARYL DIXON DIES, WE RIOT!). Norman is exactly the way he appears to be on Twitter and Instagram, down to earth, funny, and great to his fans. We talked for a bit before he went off to shoot his interview, which I watched live from the next room. After his interview he was whisked off to talk to various people at Huffington Post Live but he was sure to stop by and say good-bye on his way out. I have had a massive crush on Norman Reedus since The Boondock Saints so as you can imagine, this was definitely the highlight of my week (or month).
