Frame a picture of you that you love in a place you will see everyday.
When it comes to our reflections, we are often our own worst critics. I know women who spend hours in front of the mirror and still don’t feel confident after walking out their front door in the morning. I know girls who use their camera phone to take 20 pictures of themselves before deleting them all because they don’t think they look good enough in any of the portraits.
As a photographer, I am so used to being behind the camera and I rarely spend any time in front of it anymore. The message I give to clients is how important it is to celebrate themselves through photographs, so why am I not doing the same?
Sometimes having a picture of yourself nearby may give you an opportunity to judge yourself but this week we are going to put an end to that. I want you to find or take a picture of yourself that you love. It can be a portrait, a selfie, a picture of you doing something you are great at, or a picture of you with your favorite people. Put that amazing picture of you somewhere in your home that you will see every single day and whenever you see it, remind yourself that you are beautiful and so worth being photographed.
Show me where you put your photograph using the hashtags #WeeklySelfLoveChallenge and #SelfLoveSaturday.
