Pick a mantra.
When practicing self-love, negativity can sometimes sneak into our minds and try to trick us into believing that we are not worth it. One of the easiest and most efficient ways to combat this is to pick a mantra to empower you at both times of strength and weakness. Your mantra should be strong enough to make you feel better in the worst of situations. It should inspire you to keep moving forward when you are having a difficult time mustering up any positivity at all.
Carefully choose a mantra that makes you feel centered, empowered, and reminds you how amazing you are. There are many positive ways to use your mantra. Write it down in a place where you will see it often, say it out loud before you go to sleep, repeat it aloud or in your head when you are having a difficult day. I say my mantra aloud to myself in the mirror once a day. I also use my mantra when meditating after yoga (which I try to do daily but usually do three times a week). Find a way to fit your mantra into your daily schedule and draw power from it on a regular basis.
If you are having trouble finding the right words, try saying them to yourself in the mirror. Trust me when I say, you will know them when you see yourself saying them.
