The majority of adults in the United States are not getting enough sleep at night. These numbers rise when we focus on entrepreneurs. Being productive and getting things done is important but, getting enough sleep is also important for our health and well-being.
10. Get enough sleep.
It’s important to know that the perfect amount of sleep can vary from person to person but most adults know how much sleep they need to feel well rested, focused, and healthy. Sleep helps improve your memory, makes it easier to learn new things, can help you live longer, and allows you to focus more easily. Missing out on an adequate amount of sleep will make you feel tired, irritable, and sluggish. A lack of sleep can also contribute to heart problems, create symptoms of depression, and kill your sex drive.
If you are having trouble falling asleep at night, try creating a nightly routine that includes guided meditation. I had trouble sleeping for years and an established routine including meditation has done wonders for me. Find your magic number and put in the effort to make sure you get the sleep you deserve.
