Do you have any frenemies? Time to cut ties. Look for friendship in the right places.
An important part of self love is knowing that in order to be the best version of yourself, you are going to need to have certain types of people in your life. Motivated, kind, helpful, positive people should be the type of people who you want to spend your time with. However, most of us have people in our lives who are…less than stellar.
Whether it is an old friend whom you feel you can’t give up on, a co worker who acts like they are stuck in senior year, or a neighbor who disguises friendly chit chat as a way to pry personal information out of you, there is no room for negative people in your life. Self love and frenemies just don’t go together. If you have love and respect for yourself, you need to demand that the people in your life do as well. If someone can’t decide on whether they want to be your friend or your enemy, they are better left alone.
