I’ve read quite a few business books that I didn’t particularly enjoy. In fact, some of the most popular books in recent years that receive rave after rave have been a disappointment to me. Miki Agrawal’s Do Cool Sh*t was a breath of fresh air in a genre that has become a bit stale. If you’re looking for a typical business book, this isn’t it. Agrawal shares her unique (mis)adventures with readers that lead her on a journey from investment banker analyst to entrepreneur. Agrawal’s first entrepreneurial venture WILD, the popular farm to table pizza eatery, now has locations in both Williamsburg and the West Village. She is also the founder of THINX and TUSHY. Dubbing herself a social entrepreneur, Agrawal is set to completely change the feminine hygiene space with the same determination that led to her opening a restaurant with longevity in one of the most difficult cities to succeed in. If you are looking for a quick, fun, enjoyable, and inspirational read, pick up Do Cool Sh*t and prepare to be motivated.
