Being born and raised in Central Florida means that you are surrounded by beaches. The last place I normally want to visit when I am on vacation is a beach. For me, beaches are for lazy weekends, after work dinners, or early morning sunrise photo shoots.
However, when a friend of mine recommended visiting Folly Beach on my next trip to Charleston I decided to give it a try because it has been awhile since I have been to a beach that wasn’t in Florida. I’m glad I decided to take him up on his recommendation because I ended up loving this lazy little beach town.
John and I visited Folly for a few days while on our way to Charleston and it was the perfect way to relax before having a fun, but busy vacation in the holy city. Everything was in walking distance so our car didn’t get much use which is just the way we like it. We had a great time hanging out on the pier, eating at Rita’s, and watching gorgeous sunsets.
