During this time of year, most adults are reminded that at one point in time, they had a spring break and now they never will again. Just because you don’t have a traditional break in the spring doesn’t mean you can’t take some time to relax, refresh, and renew.
★ Travel
Take three days and head to the beach or to a sleepy little town nearby for a long weekend. Don’t make any plans to do anything except read, relax, and watch movies.
★ Take a Few Days Off
If you can’t get out of town, just have a little staycation at home. Be sure to stay off of social media and don’t give in to anyone and make plans. Let friends and family know ahead of time that you will be busy doing absolutely nothing for the weekend and you would prefer to not be interrupted.
★ Spring Clean
Every year, John and I try to get rid of ¼ of our wardrobe in spring. Not only do we feel so much better after donating to others, but we feel so much lighter after getting rid of so much.
★ Reevaluate Your Goals for the Year
Spring is a good time to evaluate how you are doing with your goals for the year. We are only a few months into the year so there is plenty of time to get back on track if you have lost your way.
★ Change Up Your Look
Fancy a new hair color? Thinking about a new cut unlike any you have had before? Spring is a great time to start fresh so if there is a look you have been thinking about trying, it is a great time to do it.
★ Try Something New
Whether it is something small like Indian food or something huge like naked yoga, trying new things is important. You should be gathering up first time experiences throughout the year but spring is an especially important time to celebrate all things new.
